After Friday’s bombshell announcement by Jamie Pollard, Iowa State is now looking for a new Athletic Director. One thing is true: the job description has changed a lot since Pollard was hired in 2005. The decision of who leads the Cyclones Athletic Department may be one of the most important that Iowa State President David Cook will ever make. Since Pollard has given almost a year’s notice, he’s scheduled to step aside in June of 2027; this is a decision that President Cook can take some time with, which means putting together a shortlist at this point is almost pointless. We are inching closer to football season. Northern Iowa Head Coach Todd Stepsis joins us at 7:30. The Panthers will participate in Missouri Valley Conference Media Days on Tuesday in Sioux Falls.
