Davenport Northwest, Iowa, and the Midwest representative stays unbeaten at the Little League World Series, shutting out New Jersey 6-0 on Sunday. Anthony Johnson Jr. had 15 strikeouts and a three-run home run to lead the Iowa team to a victory. It’s the first time a team from Iowa has started the Little League World Series with a 2-0 record. The Iowa team will now face the Mountain Region team in the next round; the Mountain team is from Paseo Verde Little League in Henderson, Nevada, on Wednesday.
