Packers lose RT Zach Bako-Bewele to season-ending surgery

GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers have lost right tackle Zach Bako-Bewele for the season, according to several reports.

Bako-Bewele was injured during Green Bay’s 20-17 victory over the New York Jets on Sunday.

Bako-Bewele told reporters that he has a complete tear of his patellar tendon in his right knee, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky and The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman.

He partially tore the patellar tendon in the same knee last year.

Bako-Bewele is scheduled to have surgery on Thursday, according to Schneidman. His recovery is expected to take nine months.
