If an Indiana judge’s ruling stands, former Iowa State point guard Tamin Lipsey may become a current Cyclone. A preliminary injunction issued Wednesday allows Lipsey and almost 100 players to return to college for a fifth year.
The NCAA is expected to appeal the ruling, so there is no guarantee Lipsey and the others named in the lawsuit will be allowed to return to college. Lipsey, a four-year starter for the Cyclones, was an All-Big 12 player three times and would change the expectations for Iowa State for the 2026-27 season.
