Covino is back from jury duty, just in time for the Covino & Rich NFL Midterms. Halfway through the season, the guys go conference by conference picking surprises and disappointments, and Covino didn’t need long on the AFC’s biggest letdown. It’s Justin Herbert, and Rich agrees it isn’t close. Rich goes full schedule watcher in the second hour and says the 5-3 Patriots could finish 8-9 and miss the playoffs while the 2-5 Texans sneak in. Covino says Caleb Williams is turning into a superstar right in front of us, and Rich thinks he’s got an MVP case if he keeps this up. Isaac Lowenkron plays a Dan Quinn press conference where a reporter asks how to stop Davante Adams, who is on injured reserve. Mike Who Runs This Take pitches mandatory civil service for every 18-year-old, and Rich calls it fools talk. Iowa Sam opens Mid Weak Major with the Nebraska fan who went after Matt Rhule’s daughter, and later has Pat Murphy explaining his hot mic call to Brian Cashman. The show ends on Luka’s hot start and a long argument about soup.
